Photography
The photography we create is critical to how we communicate our vision to the audience. Our goal is to use photography to help create and convey a distinct look for the brand. Each photography is intended to showcase the vehicle in a manner that connects with the audience.
Composition
Photographic composition is the way in which elements in an image is put together or arranged. The intentional arrangement of individual subjects within a scene form the final image - to tell a story or express a point of view.
How successful a photo is composed is subjective. The Fibonacci spiral guide is one of many ways to provide a guidance for framing. It places the subject matter at the center of the spiral, leading viewer’s eyes across the entire image creating a more captivating look.
Hierarchy
The car will always be the hero of the comp. Other visual elements play a complementary role providing information or additional interest points. We use visual weight to define hierarchy orders and always use only one primary subject. Avoid having more than three subjects in one image.
Minimum Clearing Space
Use the smallest wheel in frame as size guide. Allow 1x clearing space on left, top and right side of the vehicle and 0.5x for the bottom.
Minimum clearing space around the vehicle.
Type in Photography
Typography is an unusual subject to photograph. Thoughtful type design for photography is crucial and the right composition can elevate an already striking imagery even further to be remarkable. Here are a few techniques to apply when consider type with Mercedes-Benz photography.
